Solidarity Rake

In our place of cults located in the c / Doctor Zurita No. 7, Centro Evangelélico Nuevo Gades, we have a section dedicated to “Rake Solidarity”.

In it, clothes, shoes, various utensils, ornaments are collected ... in short, everything that is in good condition and can be offered to people who are interested. With these belongings and with the donations that people provide for their acquisition, we equip and cover the social needs of those who need help.

Donations are also sent to Foundations and NGOs that work especially with children at serious social risk, to countries such as Morocco, Bolivia ... etc. It also contributes to the maintenance of the reception center we have in Chiclana de la Frª, Centro Cristiano Shalom.

All this would not be possible without the selfless and altruistic effort of a group of enthusiastic volunteers who attend this ministry, we will mention Concha, MªAngeles, Marisa, Angelita and Nati among the women and Luis and Gustavo of the men. It is practically open every morning from Monday to Friday and some afternoons and Saturdays.

It is a blessing to observe how more and more the solidarity of the Cadizians is shown by providing us with all kinds of articles, and leaving generous donations so that this work of mercy can continue. Surely the Lord will bless their lives.

We encourage you to take a tour of our rake, meet us, talk with us, collaborate to alleviate the needs of others and if you accept it we will gladly give you a portion of the word of God (The Bible).

Department of Social Action (DAS)

This department is part of the internal structure of our church. As the name implies, it deals with the social care of its members and of any person who requests it.
It is organized under the supervision and coordination of the ministry that presides over our congregation and is made up of voluntary members of the congregation and others that offer their services on time.
The needs that are mainly met are those related to food, clothing and some equipment. Also those that previous evaluation can be referred to other specialized entities (therapeutic centers of detoxification, reception ... etc).
In exceptional cases, temporary reception is provided at our facilities in Chiclana de la Frª (Annex, Shalom estate)
Various resources are available for the performance of these functions, food from the European Fund (FEGA) and the Food Bank, as a distribution entity, clothes and equipment from the Solidarity Rake that occupies part of the annex that we have in the historic center of Cádiz ( c / Doctor Zurita nº 7) and that in turn provides us with an economic fund through donations from people who purchase their products. Also of donations and products, of the members of the congregation.
There are also lectures and seminars aimed at basic training in home economics, education, family, prevention ... etc.
Within the staff of volunteers there are several professionals and experts, willing to advise and guide in their respective areas (psychologist, social worker, nursing assistant, people rehabilitated from alcoholism and other drugs ... etc).
For the attention of the people who require this department, there is an open office in the church premises located in the Huerta del Obispo Street No. 15 (Gates of Land). It is necessary to contact by tl. to set up an appointment, or go to request it on the days of public activities of the church.
